TEAM Toyota Assists Those Impacted by Hurricane Harvey
To our friends in Southwest Louisiana and Eastern Texas, please know that our thoughts and prayers are with you all as you start the process of evaluating the impact Harvey has had on both you and your family. When we say we've been in your shoes, we mean that literally. An unnamed weather system devastated Baton Rouge and the surrounding communities last year, including our Toyota dealership. Our employees, families, friends and customers were all impacted by the torrential rains and flooding, but we worked together and were able to come back better and stronger than before.
We know how confusing things can be right now, about the sense of loss and not knowing where to start. We want all of our friends in Southwest Louisiana and Eastern Texas to know that everything is going to be ok, and we wish you nothing but success as you set out on the road to recovery. And as you begin to start this process, we want you to know that the TEAM Automotive Group is here to help. We know all too well about the many challenges you'll be facing in the weeks and months to come, and we want to use both our personal and professional experiences to help you get back to a sense of normalcy as quickly as possible.

What To Do If Your Vehicle Has Sustained Flood Damage
Insurance Tips And Helpful Information For Flood Recovery
If your vehicle has been affected by flood waters, here are some steps that you should take:
1. Do not start your vehicle! Attempting to crank it will only cause further damage if it has been flooded. Just open the vehicle up and leave the windows down to let it dry it out.
2. Call your insurance agent/company and start the claims process. You can expect to receive full NADA retail value for your vehicle plus compensation for tax, title, and license.
3. Do not tow your vehicle to the dealership. If you must move the vehicle, your insurance company should provide you with the information as to where to have it towed so that they can assess it.
4. If you have GAP insurance, call the provider and start that claims process. They will have a list of information they will need to fulfill the claim. If you purchased a vehicle from Team and are unsure if you have GAP or need your documents, please give us a call.
5. Once you have all your claims started, gather whatever documents you have from your insurance company and you should be able to start the process of replacing your flooded vehicle.
