This year’s Avalon has a beastly 6 cylinder engine with 3.5 liters, 248 pound feet of torque and 268 horses. Edmunds reports that the Avalon XLE trim hits 60 mph in only 6.4 seconds. The engine is paired to a six speed automatic transmission. The Avalon was redesigned in 2013 and it certainly shows with this year’s model. The handling is now incredibly precise.
