See the 2014 Toyota Sienna in Baton Rouge

The 2014 Toyota Sienna is a spacious 5 door minivan that seats up to 7. It has several upgrades for 2014, which come as a bit of a surprise considering how few contenders there are in the minivan segment. Yet Toyota is committed to providing its customers with the highest quality vehicles with the latest technology, so they went ahead and improved the Sienna to make it better than ever for ’14. The Sienna is sold in LE, XLE, SE and Limited trims.

What’s New In The 2014 Toyota Sienna

The interior is completely revamped and the exterior is altered as well. The dashboard is entirely new and everything on the inside feels upscale and luxurious. Drivers will love the new black leather along with the optional contrasting white stitching. The vehicle’s structure is more rigid and it is designed with improved aerodynamics to preserve gasoline. Two of the trims (SE and Limited) receive new headlights while each trim but for the SE gets a new front grille and taillights.

Engine

The ’14 Sienna comes with a 6 cylinder engine, 266 horses and 3.5 liters. This is paired to a 6 speed automatic transmission. Buyers can choose either all wheel drive or front wheel drive.

Amenities

This year’s Sienna has a brand new gauge cluster along with a 4.2 inch touchscreen with vibrant colors. This screen is in the center of the new instrument cluster and displays a variety of information like turn by turn directions to a desired destination. There’s also a 7 inch Entune infotainment system that now sits much higher up on the center stack. The entire dashboard is now symmetrical and simple to operate.

The air conditioner and heater controls are re-designed with the user’s experience in mind. Both the driver and front seat passenger will find them to be much more easy to reach and control. They are also much larger than their previous incarnations.

There’s a “Dual View” style entertainment display for rear seat passengers that can play Blu-Ray DVDs. Simply put, this entertainment system is enormous. No one will have to strain their eyes or cramp their neck to get a glimpse of what’s playing.

Safety

All of the Sienna’s airbags have been enlarged for this year’s model. There’s also an extra seat air cushion installed to protect the front seat passenger. There are now four LATCH seat anchors and there’s an extra cool Toyota Driver Easy Speak feature that lets parents communicate with their kids in the back seats by way of a microphone and speakers. This is a bit like a PA system that is built right into the Sienna. We all know how parents hate to yell and scream at their kids to settle down while they attempt to focus on the road. With Driver Easy Speak, their voices will be piped right into the backseat with ease.
