For those that live for the off-road, a race-inspired Toyota Racing Development (TRD) off-road suspension was developed and tuned for the Trail Teams Ultimate Edition. This new suspension includes TRD Bilstein^® shocks with increased articulation and stability at high speeds, while the rear shocks are equipped with remote oil reservoirs to decrease damping fade. TRD 16-in. gunmetal beadlock-style wheels with BF Goodrich^® all-terrain KO LT tires will definitely make a statement on the trail and, when you combine them with rock rails and a roof rack, you will have everyone following your lead. A newly developed TRD front skid plate, made from one-quarter-inch thick aluminum plate, comes standard on the Trail Teams Ultimate Edition, enhancing approach angle and providing an increased level of underbody protection.

The 2014 Toyota FJ Cruiser Trail Teams Ultimate Edition pays tribute to the iconic Land Cruiser FJ40 of the 1960s, where the FJ Cruiser gets its rugged DNA, inspiration and design. A unique white front grille surround and newly developed exterior give a nod to the heritage of this rugged off-road legend. Due to its rarity (only 2500 to be built), a stainless steel Ultimate Edition commemorative dash plaque let’s everyone know that they are sitting in one of the most capable and toughest FJ Cruisers ever!

***All the airbag (AB) systems are Supplemental Restraint Systems. All ABs (if installed) are designed to inflate only under certain conditions and in certain types of severe collisions: frontal and knee ABs typically inflate in frontal collisions; side and side curtain ABs in side collisions; Roll-Sensing Curtain ABs at a severe tilt degree, roll or lateral G-force. In all other accidents, the ABs will not inflate. To decrease the risk of injury from an inflating AB, always wear seatbelts, sit upright in the middle of the seat as far back as possible and do not lean against the door.
